The Department of Finance issues circulars and confidential circulars from time to time setting out practice for Departments on matters for which the Department of Finance has responsibility.
These circulars cover many subject areas for which the Department has responsibility, including various personnel and remuneration concerns, such as pay and allowances, leave, career breaks, confined competitions, etc..
The Personnel Code website, assembles relevant circulars, circular letters and letters to heads of Departments or Personnel Officers on personnel matters. It can be accessed at www.personnelcode.gov.ie
