The Public Service Reform & Delivery Unit is involved in organising a series of conferences/seminars relevant to the Public Service Reform agenda. These topical conferences are attended by key stakeholders who are involved in driving change within their respective public service organisations. A flavour of these events held to date and upcoming events can be seen here below:-

• 04/10/11 Mapping the Public Service Conference

  As part of a series of conferences on key aspects of the Public Service Reform agenda, a half-day seminar on “mapping the Public Service” took place on the morning of 4th October, 2011 in the Atrium, Department of Justice, 51 St Stephens Green, which featured high-level speakers involved in Geographical Information (GI) ansd mapping across and beyond the Irish Public Service.

• 30/06/11 Conference – Croke Park agreement – One Year On

  Building on the series of highly successful Public Service Transformation conferences over the past year, and reflecting important recent developments in the Irish Public Service, a half-day conference on “The Croke Park Agreement – One Year On” took place on the morning of Thursday, 30th June, 2011.

• 08/03/11 – TPS Conference on Shared Services in the Public Service

  This event provided perspectives on progress made to date on shared services across the public service and also outlined next steps in progressing objectives further in this area.

• 18/01/11 – TPS Conference on eGovernment

  Half day seminar on eGovernment in St. Patrick’s Hall, Dublin Castle

• 14/12/10 – TPS Seminar on Re-designing Business Processes

  Due to over demand for the TPS Seminar on Re-designing Business Processes held in May, 2010, the TPS Programme Office held another seminar in Bedford Hall, Dublin Castle on 14th December, 2010.

• 14/10/10 – TPS Conference: The HR Challenge

  The TPS Programme Office hosted a half day conference in the Coach House, Dublin Castle on the HR Challenge

• 22/07/10 – Seminar: Making Customer Service Training Meaningful

  The latest in a series of seminars hosted by the Transforming Public Service (TPS) Programme Office was dedicated to the issue of making customer service training meaningful.

• 21/05/10 TPS Seminar on Re-designing Business Processes

  The TPS Programme Office hosted a half day seminar on Re-designing Business Processes in the Coach House, Dublin Castle on 21st May, 2010. Public servants across all sectors attended this free event.

• 06/05/10 Seminar – Effective Public Procurement: Key Challenges for 2010

  Half day seminar in Dublin Castle on 6th May, 2010

• 22/07/09 TPS Conference: “The implementation challenge in the Civil Service and State Agencies.”

  On Monday 20 July, Dublin Castle played host to a conference on the range of challenges arising from the Transforming Public Services programme. The half-day event featured a diverse range of speakers and topics.
